The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, in an interview for the Russian public broadcaster, accused the government of the United States that via their Ambassador Jess Baily influenced the decision of the MPs in the Macedonian Parliament concerning the Prespa Agreement. “Many high-profile politicians and diplomats visited Macedonia prior the referendum and the parliament session on the Prespa Agreement in order to conduct propaganda. Opposition MPs have been blackmailed to support the agreement. Jess Baily himself was present in the Parliament on the day the MPs voted in favour of constitutional changes,” Lavrov said. During his attendance at the National Gallery of Macedonia for handover of financial grant, Bialy refused to comment on topics not related to the event he attended. “There will be right time in future to discuss other issues,” Baily said. Washington and Moscow are trading accusations concerning Macedonia ever since the signing of the Prespa Agreement.
