In Thursday’s interview with Alfa TV, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski accused the SDSM led-government of violating the conditions for fair and democratic elections. “Fair and democratic presidential elections need to be mandatory. Basically, they need to represent a condition in terms of whether Macedonia meets the conditions and whether, basically, Macedonia is a society that needs to be part of the European structures and of the European union,” he stated. According to the VMRO-DPMNE leader, the government’s activities in the pre-election period represent “securing of pole position” for the SDSM-led coalition’s presidential candidate, Stevo Pendarovski, through, among other things, so-called artificial jobs.
