Zaev: SDSM Supports Electoral Model Change into Single Election Unit

PM and SDSM Leader, Zoran Zaev, at the round table on the topic “Changing the electoral model from six to one electoral unit and open lists” organized by the Single Electoral Unit Initiative currently supported by 15 MPs, stated that SDSM continues to support changing the Electoral model into one electoral unit and encourages the ones behind the initiative to continue in the interest of democracy. PM Zaev also sent message to VMRO-DPMNE and DUI, who did not participate at the round table discussion, to carefully consider the matter. In regard to the open lists, PM Zaev stated that the implementation of a single election unit is a very serious step and that two such large changes at the same time can hardly be executed properly at the moment.
