Health Ministry Data on COVID-19 Cases over Three-day Weekend

Over the past 24 hours, 120 new COVID-19 cases have been registered, Health Minister Venko Filipce confirmed on Thursday. It was added that the same period had seen 16 new cured patients and two new deaths. Deputy PM for European Affairs Bujar Osmani, who’s a member of DUI, believes the non-compliance with the measures to be a result of fake news. The following day saw an increase of the number of new cases, that is, 180 were registered. There were two new deaths and 11 new cured patients.  Among the new cases registered that day were 13 healthcare workers. On Saturday, 125 new cases, two new deaths, and eight new cured patients were registered. Filipce urged citizens to provide full epidemiological information and called on media not to publish unchecked information about the number of cases. Sunday saw 111 new cases, two new deaths, and six new cured patients registered. Currently, there are 1,226 active cases in Macedonia.
