President Stevo Pendarovski held on Tuesday a farewell meeting with Italian Ambassador Carlo Romeo. They talked about the bilateral relations between the two countries. There is successful development of cooperation in all areas of common interest, it was assessed. Pendarovski and Romeo reaffirmed the interest to additionally intensify economic relations and trade exchange, as well as the cooperation in the fields of defence and security, education, culture, and tourism. The President said Skopje highly appreciated Rome’s constructive, clear, and unreserved support on the EU path. As they also pointed out, EU and NATO integration of countries from the Western Balkans is in the interest of regional security and prosperity.
