At Monday’s session of the Central Committee of VMRO-DPMNE, the leader of the party, Hristijan Mickoski, proposed to members to convene an extraordinary congress at which he wouldn’t run, but they unanimously rejected the proposal. Mickoski proposed a new composition of the party’s Executive Committee, which now consists of: Vice Presidents Vlado Misajlovski and Aleksandar Nikoloski, member and former MP Ivan Ivanov, Union of Youth Forces President Sergej Popov, Parliamentary Group Coordinator Nikola Micevski, Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska and Rashela Mizrahi, who were part of the 2020 caretaker cabinet, Stefan Andonovski, Marija Andonovska, MPs Olga Lozanovska and Dafina Stojanoska, Velo Markovski, Trajko Slaveski, Vladimir Gjorcev, Dragan Kovacki, Koce Trajanovski, Kiril Pecakov, and Antonijo Milososki. Sec Gen Igor Janushev resigned, citing personal reasons. As the VMRO-DPMNE leader added, in the period ahead, there will be new members of the Committee, a new Sec Gen, a new President of the Union of Women, and a new Chair of the Union of Veterans.
