VMRO-DPMNE MPs returned the no-confidence motion to Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi without any corrections and without the use of the full constitutional name. The arguments of the opposition party are that Xhaferi unfoundedly and contrary to the Rules of Procedure declared the motion to be untidy, referring to Article 136, which according to VMRO-DPMNE refers to a draft law, and not to no-confidence motions. The coordinator of the VMRO-DPMNE Parliamentary Group, Nikola Micevski doubts that the use of the constitutional name in the motion is the main problem. According to him, Xhaferi and the ruling majority are looking for excuses so that the document does not reach the agenda for discussion. SDSM reacts that “no matter how much Hristijan Mickoski and VMRO-DPMNE dislike this, the provisions of the Macedonian Constitution cannot be selectively respected”.
