“Democracy also means responsibility. With my resignation, I take responsibility and set an example for the civic duty of future leaders, but I also give another contribution to strengthening the democratic capacity of the country,” said resigned Prime Minister Zoran Zaev in a Facebook post, informing that he resigned from office to the President of the Parliament, Talat Xhaferi. “It was a great honour for me to be able to serve and to have the trust of the majority of the people in the past four years,” said Zaev in the announcement. He emphasized that he would like to thank the MPs, in both this and the previous composition, as well as the members of both compositions of the Government during his term and the citizens of the country. “I wish well-being and prosperity to all our citizens, to all communities, to all our people,” he added in the post on his Facebook profile.
