On Wednesday, Parliament’s Foreign Policy Committee didn’t consider the Draft-Declaration on Goce Delcev filed by VMRO-DPMNE. Hristijan Mickoski’s party tried to make it part of the agenda, but the ruling majority’s stand is that there is no need for the country to use a declaration to show how much it respects the revolutionary’s work. Some MPs wore Delcev T-shirts. According to VMRO-DPMNE, DUI and SDSM MPs ran away in order for there to be no quorum. “We will wait for them, there is time until Ilinden Uprising Day,” its MPs pointed out. In response, SDSM said it would not get involved in “such theatrics”. The ruling party believes that VMRO-DPMNE obviously has a goal to create divisions among the people. The Government stated the same day that the issue of Delcev shouldn’t be used to create conflicts and intolerance.
