The fifth grade History and Society textbook has been withdrawn from use due to content
errors. The Ministry of Education and Science announced a call for the formation of an
author’s team for the production of a new textbook, and interested authors can apply until 5
June. Due to the errors in the textbook, which were discovered in December, just a few days
after the students received it, the Association of Historians and the public reacted, and the
Ministry of Education and Science at the end of last year informed that a committee will
review the entire content and make a proposal for appropriate corrections.
