PM Hristijan Mickoski discussed in an interview with Deutsche Welle in Macedonian the recent scandal involving the Agency for National Security (ANS) and some other topics.
“I pledge for efficient and sooner resolution of this case, bearing in mind that previous cases of similar nature in our country were not properly processed. It is also quite suspicious how it is always the same people that stand behind scandals like these. Now, we need to locate responsibility and hold accountable those who broke the law, but we also need to work on prevention, to introduce laws, regulations and measures so that we no longer face abuse of the intelligence services.
When it comes to the opposition’s reaction to this, it is clear that fear has overtaken them, because the provide very different statements, SDSM says one thing, former ANS head Viktor Dimovski says something else, and they are caught up in their own mix of uncoordinated statements. I enjoy watching them quiver with fear, asking themselves did someone spill the beans about the criminal activities of theirs”, Mickoski said.
