Measures of Precaution Proposal in Mercantile Corn and Barley Case Accepted

The Criminal Court has accepted the proposal for measures of precaution against all five suspects in the investigation into the case concerning mercantile corn and barley from the state commodity reserves.

The suspects’ passports have been taken away, while they have an obligation to also report to a court on a regular basis during the investigation. The investigation process covers ex-Agriculture Minister Trajan Dimkovski, the former heads of the Agro Berza PE and Commodity Reserves Agency, an expert, and a manager at the Agency.

According to the authorities, as a result of an inaccurate document on write-off of mercantile corn and barley, damage to the budget of around 780,000 euros was caused.
