The procedure for the election of new ministers as a result of the cabinet reshuffle talks will be on Parliament’s agenda on July 13.
Among the nominees is Ivan Stoilkovikj, who will leave the head position at the Intercommunity Relations Ministry and become the Minister of Local Self-Government. The nomination has been fiercely criticized by DUI, which has stated that it represents a prelude to a revision of the Ohrid Framework Agreement and a threat to decentralization and interethnic balance.
When it comes to the position of DPM for Good Governance, PM Mickoski has said it will be abolished. The same tasks, according to him, will be executed by the secretary within his Cabinet in charge of the implementation of the Government’s policies.
However, that position will not be held by Dimitar Dimovski, whose wife is the CEO of the state-owned Development Bank and who was a defendant in the Spanish Steps and Toplik cases.
