Prosecutor Spasenka Andonova of the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecuting Organized Crime and Corruption finds unacceptable the defense’s motions for Pulse owner Dejan Jovanov and his son to testify at the trial against the nine police officers accused of granting operating approval for the nightclub to obtain a license without proper checks regarding parking spaces and breaches of public peace and order.
Some defense attorneys in the courtroom asked the court to reject all allegations made by the prosecution. They pointed out that the prosecution had secured evidence but had submitted it selectively, i.e., only what had supported the indictment.
