According to State Statistical data, the industry production in January 2013 has decreased by 1.3 % compared to the same month in 2011, which marks the 17^th month of industry production decline.

However, the reduction in January is much lower compared to December 2012 when it amounted to 8 %. According to sectors, industry production in the mining and quarrying sector in January at annual level has increased by 17.6 %, in the processing industry dropped by 4.5 %, whereas in the energy, gas, steam and air conditioning sector there was fall by 0.7 %. In relation to main industrial groups, the production in January 2012 has grown in the energy sector by 2.2 %, capital goods by 11.4 % and non-durable goods for broad consumption by 5.1 %, whereas it has dropped in the intermediate goods, except energy, by 13.1 % and durable-goods for broad consumption by 5.8 %.
