Government to Aid Family Businesses in Rural Areas

The Government is to allocate 15 million euro in support of opening new or expanding existing family businesses in rural areas.
Government Spokesman Aleksandar Gjorgjiev explained that the government funds would be used to cover 50 % of the investments for opening or development of family businesses, with the least amount of investment set at 3,000 euro and the maximum of 400,000 euro. Campaign to acquaint citizens with the project will be prepared with teams of the Agency for Financial Aid of Agriculture and the Employment Service Agency going on-field and informing inhabitants on how the support can be received at the same time assisting them in drafting business plans. The basic criteria, in addition to business plan, is for the applicants to have fulfilled their obligations on the basis of taxes and social transfers.
