DPA leader Menduh Thaci believes that there should be elections in June, that is, 21-22 days after Eid al-Fitr (24 May). He said at a press-conference on Monday that elections were important in order for the economy to recover in the coming period. “It’s very important for there to be elections because in addition to this battle with the coronavirus, a big battle lies ahead of us, one for economic recovery of our people,” the DPA leader stated. As far as the issue of opening religious facilities is concerned, Thaci considers that they should be opened. In that regard, he said the battle against COVID-19 would last, adding that people would need to live with the coronavirus situation.
