32 nd Anniversary of Independence Marked

The 32 nd anniversary of the country’s independence was marked on Friday. At Skopje’s City Park, there were sports activities and tactical exercises by North Macedonia’s Army and police. Also, congratulatory messages were sent by, among others, PM Dimitar Kovacevski and opposition leader Hristijan Mickoski.

According to the PM, the 1991 generations were guided by the vote for freedom, statehood, and integration. According to the VMRO-DPMNE leader, the 32 nd anniversary is at the same time a holiday of hope. As he added, the country will defeat “the corrupt elite” that is in power and “its pawns”.

Messages were sent also by NATO Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum, Bulgarian MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk, Frontex, and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
