64 New Cases of COVID-19 Registered, 4 Deaths Reported

The Ministry of Health informs, according to the data from the Institute of Public Health that in the last 24 hours 965 tests were performed and 64 new cases of COVID-19 were registered. Of that number, 12 are reinfections. 4 patients have passed away and 296 have recovered in the same period. The total number of COVID-diagnosed persons in the country since the beginning of the epidemic is 303,418, the number of recovered patients is 292,344, the number of deaths is 9,184, and the number of active cases is 1,890. “We are waiting for a meeting of the General Crisis Staff to be scheduled, and if it is held, at the next session of the Government we expect the recommendations of the Infectious Diseases Committee to be voted, including the one for exemption from wearing masks for primary school students,” said Minister of Health Bekim Sali.
