808 New Cases of COVID-19 and 18 Deaths During Weekend

The Health Ministry informed that over the past weekend, a total number of 808 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the country. Of the new cases, 319 were registered on Friday, 273 on Saturday and 214 on Sunday. During the same period, 18 patients passed away due to complications with the virus. The total number of COVID-diagnosed persons in the country since the beginning of the epidemic is 303,354, the number of recovered patients is 292,048, the number of deaths is 9,180, and the number of active cases is 2,126. The Ministry of Health, with the support of the World Health Organization, USAID and UNICEF, will start a vaccination caravan against COVID-19 on Monday (March 21st), which will cover 14 local communities across the country. At each of these places, according to the schedule, citizens will have the opportunity to be vaccinated and to be informed about the benefits of immunization against COVID-19. Also, at these locations, citizens who have been vaccinated abroad will have the opportunity to register in the “MyAppointment” system.
