Accusations over Soravia, Drin Ahmeti and Phoenix Cases Continue

On Wednesday, VMRO-DPMNE asked the authorities to say whether sales tax has been paid in relation to the Soravia centre case and DUI leader Ali Ahmeti’s nephew, Drin Ahmeti, and how the transaction process was carried out. As MP Dragan Kovacki pointed out, according to the research, no transaction has been registered in North Macedonia. So, the party’s stand is that it has to be revealed how the centre was sold and through which tax regulations. Ahmeti’s party called on all political parties to sign an initiative before the Prosecutor’s Office and international institutions for a complete investigation of all officials, both ruling structure and opposition ones, in the last 20 years. DUI also appealed for them to support a full vetting process in politics, the judiciary, and prosecutor’s offices. According to PM Dimitar Kovacevski, regarding the Soravia case, institutions, ex officio, have to investigate the origin of money because it’s about a deal worth tens of millions of euros. When it comes to SDSM, its MP, Mile Talevski, said the Phoenix case had confirmed VMRO-DPMNE’s “criminal face”.
