Another eight members of the terrorist group that was planning suicide attacks in Macedonia have been detained. Five are from Kumanovo, while the rest are from Skopje. They will be charged with terrorist organisation. Searches were carried out at several locations in both cities. One of the detainees, as a member of the Islamic State group, participated in the battlefields in Syria. The group was involved in several activities, including securing funds, getting weapons, ammunition, military equipment, making improvised explosive devices, and test activations. They used the WhatsApp platform for communication, according to the Interior Ministry. The operation is a result of a multiple-month-long investigation of the police. Four months ago, a group consisting of multiple members who were planning suicide attacks on vital state facilities was arrested near Kumanovo.
