The threshold of alarming due to excessive pollution has once again been activated in the capital. The Environment and Physical Planning Ministry said on Thursday the threshold had been exceeded in the settlements of Lisice and Centar. As a result, the recommendations and measures for protection have entered into force. On Thursday afternoon, according to IQ Air, Skopje was the 21st most polluted city in the world. Over the past several days, citizens in the capital have fiercely criticised both the local authorities and the central Government over, as they say, the failure to properly deal with the pollution problem once and for all. The Ministry added that the threshold of alarming in Tetovo, on the other hand, had been interrupted. The recommendations and measures there are no longer in force.
