Borissov: Sofia has Already said What its Conditions are for Skopje to Join EU

“We have already said what our conditions are for the Republic of North Macedonia to be admitted to the EU,” Bulgarian PM Boyko Borissov is quoted as saying by BGNES after the Zagreb Summit. He once again said that Bulgaria had been the first country to support Macedonia in relation to NATO. “What should we tell them in the end, that we are Macedonians? We love them, respect them, and I would give them most brotherly advice – let them not set impossible conditions for themselves,” Borissov stated, adding that his country was telling, in a most friendly manner, its western neighbour to stick to that path. SDSM leader Zoran Zaev said on Thursday he expected Bulgaria to continue to remain an honest friend of Macedonia.
