Bulgarian FM: Macedonia Deserves to be Given Clear European Perspective

Macedonia deserves to be given a clear European perspective, Bulgarian FM Ekaterina Zakharieva says in an interview with Bulgarian TV station NOVA. She expects the General Affairs Council to give a green light to Macedonia at the start of next week for a start of accession negotiations. According to Zakharieva, the topic of enlargement will be discussed at the Council meeting. “If the Council gives a green light, the decision can be confirmed at the meeting of the European Council on 29 and 30 June,” she points out.
