Conference on Dealing with Disinformation Held in Skopje

The Presidential Centre for Political Education, in cooperation with the Metamorphosis
Foundation, organised in Skopje a conference titled “Building social resistance to
negative effects from disinformation in North Macedonia”, which featured as panellists
President Stevo Pendarovski and Dutch Ambassador Dirk Jan Kop. President
Pendarovski said that no one is immune to disinformation, and that it is of crucial
importance for the institutions of the state, the media and the NGO sector to be well-
coordinated in the response against disinformation. Dutch Ambassador Kop said that fact
checking is the most important process in the fight against disinformation.
