Council to Discuss Peer-Review Mission’s Recommendations at Session

The EU’s peer-review mission’s recommendations will be considered by the Judicial Council at an emergency public session, the head of the body, Sasko Georgiev said on Wednesday.

According to him, the report notes that it is about old and accumulated problems facing the Council, but there will be an attempt to solve them. The All For Fair Trials Coalition’s stand is the work of the Council coming down to electing and promoting judges without explaining the decisions impacts trust. “The Council hasn’t shown proactivity over the current state of affairs,” the Coalition added.
