COVID-19: 141 New Cases and 1 Death in past 24 Hours

The Health Ministry conducted 1,885 COVID-19 tests among citizens in the past 24 hours, with 141 of them turning positive. Of the new cases, 39 are registered in Skopje, 23 in Stip, 18 in Kicevo, 13 in Gostivar, 10 in Kumanovo, 8 in Tetovo, 6 in Struga, 3 in Bitola, Kocani, Demir Hisar, Makedonski Brod and Vinica, 2 in Ohrid and Kriva Palanka and 1 in Prilep, Probistip, Berovo, Kratovo and Sveti Nikole. The Health Ministry also registers 161 cured patients, as well as one death as a result of COVID-19 complications. Since the start of the epidemic in Macedonia, authorities have registered 12,083 cases of COVID-19, of which 8,248 are cured, 3,306 are still active, while 529 have passed away. The Interior Ministry reported that in the past 24 hours 392 citizens were fined for not wearing face masks in accordance with the protocols for protection from COVID-19.
