COVID-19: 440 New Cases in Past Weekend

The Health Ministry registered over the past weekend a total number of 440 new cases of COVID-19 in Macedonia. Of the new cases, 155 were registered on Friday, 200 on Saturday and 85 on Sunday, with most of them located in Skopje, Stip, Kumanovo, Gostivar, Tetovo, Kavadarci etc. Over the past weekend, 10 people died as a result of complications with the coronavirus, 2 on Friday and 4 on Saturday and Sunday. On the other hand, 184 patients were registered as cured from COVID-19 in the past weekend (127 on Friday, 15 on Saturday and 42 on Sunday). The Interior Ministry reports that over the past three days, 1,098 citizens were fined for not wearing face protection in accordance with the protocols for protection from COVID-19. Since the start of the epidemic in Macedonia, 11,839 COVID-19 cases were registered, of which 7,664 were cured, 3,648 are still active, while 527 people passed away.
