In Istanbul, Defence Minister Slavjanka Petrovska paid a visit to the 16 th International Defence Industry Fair, IDEF’23. Around 1,000 domestic and foreign companies from the industry were part of it, as were over 400 official delegations, including defence ministers.
Petrovska visited the stands of ASELSAN, BMC, and NUROL, where she was informed about the new achievements of the military industry and products of the Turkiye-based companies. ASELSAN manufactures part of the equipment for the new artillery systems being procured by North Macedonia from Turkiye through the Government-to-Government deal.
According to the plan, they will arrive in 2025. On the side-lines of IDEF’23, Petrovska met with her Kosovan counterpart, Armend Mehaj. They talked about the security situation in the region and defence cooperation between Skopje and Pristina.
