Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Maricic held a meeting on Friday with US Ambassador Kate Marie Byrnes. At the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the support US provides for the Euro-integrative processes of North Macedonia, with Deputy PM Maricic saying that the government will remain focused on implementation of all necessary reforms for these processes. He also introduced Byrnes to the way official Skopje and Sofia will form the working groups that will work on building up better relations between the two countries on several fields, which is expected to result with resolution of the open bilateral disputes. Byrnes congratulated Maricic on assuming the office of Deputy PM for European Affairs, and voiced hope that his personal engagement in this area will make a significant contribution to the country’s integration in the EU.
