Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Maricic started on Monday his two-day visit to Brussels. After the meetings with Stefano Sannino, Secretary General of the EU External Action Service, and Michela Matuella, Western Balkans Director at the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, he said EU leaders had to use the historic moment and respond to the current crisis by officialising the European perspective of the region. “Our strategic orientation is EU membership and it would be good for the enlargement policy to be defined this year in direction of credible partnership and with greater commitment towards candidates and potential candidates,” the Deputy PM stated at the meeting with Sannino.
