Deputy PM of Montenegro Dritan Abazovic paid on Wednesday an official visit to Macedonia. Abazovic was welcomed by and held a meeting with First Deputy PM Artan Grubi, with whom he discussed possibilities for improvement of the cooperation between Macedonia and Montenegro. “We discussed possibilities for improving our bilateral economic cooperation, as well as an initiative for establishing a Forum of Deputy PMs of the Western Balkans, once electoral cycles in all countries are complete,” Grubi said. Abazovic welcomed Grubi’s idea for the Forum, saying that it will allow Balkan countries to demonstrate greater solidarity towards each other and achieve greater success in the processes for accession in the EU. Also on Wednesday, Deputy PM of Montenegro Abazovic held a meeting with Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski, discussing the cooperation of the police units of both countries. Spasovski pointed out the importance of regional cooperation between the Balkan countries when it comes to fight against terrorism, violent extremism, cyber-crime and similar problems. Abazovic said that Montenegro is ready to provide assistance to Macedonia in the EU-integration processes, especially in chapters 23 and 24.
