SDSM leader Zoran Zaev believes that it’s necessary for a solution to be found responsibly so that the elections are held before the start of summer, mostly due to the health of people. After Saturday’s meeting with MP candidates from the party, he said elections were a solution, not a problem. The former PM considers that an election process is needed in order to ensure fully functional institutions that will protect the health of citizens and completely restart the Macedonian economy. The following day, VMRO-DPMNE Sec Gen Igor Janusev pointed out in an interview with Radio Free Europe stated that it was impossible to hold elections in June. “There will be no elections in June. How will they do that? Do you think that Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi will sign off on a decision that is against the law in relation to an election date? Who will determine their election date? How will they do that? It’s impossible,” he stressed.
