The Education Ministry called upon the teachers in schools and in kindergartens which do not participate in the strike of the Education Trade Union to proceed with normal work and accept children in their classes, after the Education Trade Union decided to proceed with the strike on Monday. “The education of the generations that come after us is our mutual legal, ethical and moral duty which we must conduct completely, no matter the challenges that may arise, which by the way we have always managed to overcome through dialogue. We can only interpret the latest decision of the Education Trade Union to not accept our proposal for increase of their salaries by 10% as a mere blackmail which endangers the best interests of all students and their families,” they state from the Education Ministry.
