EU Ambassador Zbogar expects Progress to be noted in EC Report

On Monday, the EU Ambassador to Macedonia, Samuel Zbogar, said he expected the huge progress made by Macedonia in 2018 to be noted in the EC Report. Zbogar is convinced that a start of negotiations will be recommended in the document. As he added, the decision to open negotiations is made by EU members on the basis of the Report. “We expect that decision to happen and June and we hope that that exactly will happen. I think the country truly showed last year its commitment to the European Union and to reforms. Some important decisions were made,” the Ambassador stated. In that regard, he added that the government and opposition were working on very important laws.
