Political parties should continue efforts to reach consensus over the Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) law, according to EU Ambassador Samuel Zbogar, who also considers that trust of citizens should be restored. As he said on Thursday, the EU will recognise and acknowledge that trust. “For the time being, a solution hasn’t been found and consent hasn’t been reached. However, we will continue to work further, too, on seeing what will happen to the cases related to former officials from VMRO-DPMNE. We appeal to both political parties to continue their efforts to try to find consensus over this issue,” the Ambassador pointed out, adding that finding a solution and restoring trust of citizens was currently much more important than a date to start negotiations.
