Ex PM Gruevski on Latest Developments

The former president of VMRO-DPMNE, Nikola Gruevski, said that he doesn’t know any details concerning the evidence or the arguments about the dismissals within the party and that he refrains from any commenting. He also said that he wishes a stronger and united VMRO-DPMNE that will be able to “bring down this evil” because when VMRO-DPMNE is strong then Macedonia is also strong, according to him. I received an invitation but I was unable to go the VMRO-DPMNE’s celebration, he said when asked why he did not attend the ceremony to mark the Revolutionary Struggle day. Regarding Zoran Zaev’s reconciliation appeal, Gruevski said the PM should be allowed to answer that. He said that he will use all legal opportunities for postponement of the sentence, and he also said that “we live in crazy times.” “I’m not surprised by the decision. I remember the looks on the faces of my attorneys when they told me about the decision. I knew it will happen. They didn’t believe that the decisions are politically motivated,” said Gruevski. He added he had received the verdict in the Tank case, but not the referral act.
