On Tuesday, Saso Mijalkov, former Director Security and Counter-intelligence Administration (UBK), was detained upon a request from the Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPO). Police handcuffed him in the Marriott in the centre of Skopje and took him to the investigative prison in Suto Orizari. The 30-day detention order for him had been issued in relation to the Target-Fortress case, run by the SPO, because of the danger of him escaping. Earlier that day, Mijalkov had attended the hearing over the Torture case, which concerns the 2011 arrest of Ljube Boskoski.
