Filipce: We Recommend Curfew Between 10:00 P.M. and 05:00 A.M.

Health Minister Venko Filipce revealed at a press conference that the Infectious Diseases Committee has suggested to the government introduction of curfew between 10:00 p.m. and 05:00 a.m. every day due to the increase of daily numbers of new COVID-19 cases in the country, majority of which are confirmed to be of the British strain of the coronavirus. “If adopted at governmental session, this measure will be put into force starting with Wednesday, and to remain so in the following two weeks, after which we will analyse the situation and determine if we need additional measures or not. We decided to suggest this measure because, according to our analyses, most of the new cases are a result of infection during group gatherings, mostly of young people in parks and other outdoor areas, as well as a generally low level of respect of the anti-COVID-19 protocols by the citizens for wearing face protection, keeping physical distance and avoiding gatherings in groups,” Filipce said.
