A court issued on Saturday a fine of 300 euros and measure for expelling from North Macedonia, as well as a three-year ban on entry, against the three Bulgarian citizens detained at the Deve Bair Border Crossing that day for violation of public order and peace. As North Macedonia’s Interior Ministry said, the three persons, aged 54, 50, and 35, first acted arrogantly and used offensive words and then tried to physically attack officers. Commenting the same day on the developments related to the marking of revolutionary Goce Delcev’s birthday, Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry said North Macedonia’s authorities had acted in a humiliating and unacceptable manner towards the Bulgarian people and Bulgaria. Such developments have seriously harmed the process to restore trust, it was added, while the country’s caretaker Foreign Minister, Nikolay Milkov, already talked to North Macedonia’s Ambassador Agneza Rusi Popovska.
