Foreign Affairs Minister Bujar Osmani held a meeting in Switzerland with Head of the Federal Department for Foreign Affairs Ignazio Cassis. At the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the bilateral relations between Macedonia and Switzerland, and possibilities for cooperation in numerous fields. “We very much appreciate the assistance we receive from Switzerland in three crucial areas: democratic rule, economic development and environmental policies. I also must point out the new strategy for North Macedonia for the period 2021-2024 which allocates 72 million Swiss Francs for our country,” Osmani said. The interlocutors also discussed the status of the Macedonian diaspora living in Switzerland, as well as the preparations for Macedonia to take over the Presidency with OSCE in 2023 and application of Swiss experiences in that process.
