Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani arrived on Monday in Bled, Slovenia, for the traditional Strategic Forum. “I must say that this is most likely the first forum after 20 years in which a representative of the Republic of North Macedonia will need to have a different narrative: I now have the privilege to present in this Forum a country that has started negotiations with the EU,” he said. Osmani will promote at the event North Macedonia and the values it has, as well as the challenges it will face in the negotiating process for membership, starting with the screening. On the sidelines of the Forum, Osmani met with France’s Laurence Boone, Minister of State for Europe, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs. The meeting focused on Skopje’s EU path, while the current situation in Ukraine was among the topics too.
