Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani delivered an address before MEPs on Thursday in the frames of the debate on the European Parliament’s resolution on Macedonia. Committee on Foreign Affairs members were asking Osmani about Macedonia’s implementation of EU reforms, improvement of inter-neighbourly relations, domestic reforms, and foreign policy. The Rapporteur on the country, Ilhan Kyuchyuk, described the roadmap as a very interesting idea, asking what the main items were. “I carefully read your interventions,” the MEP pointed out, adding that trust in the friendship deal had to be restored. Osmani stated that there certainly couldn’t be a debate on the identity issue. As he added, if there was some progress in the past period, it’s that Bulgaria said the identity issue wouldn’t be discussed.
