Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani held on Thursday separate meetings with the EU Delegation’s Head, Ambassador David Geer, US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Eric Meyer, and Dutch Ambassador Dirk Jan Kop.
They discussed political developments in the country, while special attention was paid to the circumstances regarding the public debate on the constitutional changes and the Government’s efforts to provide continuity of the started EU accession talks, North Macedonia’s Foreign Ministry said. According to Osmani, North Macedonia has a great opportunity to provide a decent European future for North Macedonia’s citizens.
„This time, we have the key and we look with particular gratitude at the support of our international partners, which have provided truly serious guarantees by supporting this country in this process,“ Osmani noted, adding that North Macedonia was in the meantime continuing to work on internal reforms and successful alignment of its legislation with the EU acquis.
The meetings saw a discussion on topics of regional nature, especially in the context of the European integration of the whole Western Balkans region.
