There is no progress towards a solution with Sofia, but the talks continue, according to Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani. As he said on Wednesday, after June, the capacity to find a solution is exhausted. Afterwards, it will be considered which future steps will be taken. According to the Minister, there is no official state stand whether membership in the new community proposed by Emmanuel Macron would be accepted. Peter Grk, National Coordinator for the Western Balkans at the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the EU finally had to deliver also a start of negotiations with Skopje and Tirana. NGOs from the region too, at the panel “The Path to Brussels”, said that negotiations were a security issue and that the EU had to make a step forward with regards to enlargement.
