Bulgarian Foreign Affairs Minister Teodora Genchovska stated that there are open disagreements between the Bulgarian MoFA and the foreign policy team of Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov. She said that there is no document between North Macedonia and Bulgaria that can be a basis for negotiations, and that official Skopje had not implemented anything from the 4+1 agenda. Genchovska added that there is not enough time for North Macedonia to start the EU accession talks before the end of the French presidency over the EU on 30 June 2022, adding that Bulgaria will not approve the start of the accession talks until official Skopje registers the Bulgarians as state-building community in the Constitution of North Macedonia.
