Government Adopts Decision for Curfew Between 10:00 P.M. and 05:00 A.M.

The government adopted at a session on Tuesday the proposal of the Infectious Diseases Committee to introduce a curfew in order to reduce the daily number of new COVID-19 cases in the country. The curfew will become effective on Wednesday 10 March and will be enforced every day between 10:00 p.m. and 05:00 a.m. until 22 March. PM Zoran Zaev said that during this period the government and the Health Ministry will monitor the fluctuations in the number of new COVID-19 cases. “We will follow the situation carefully, and after 22 March will decide whether to introduce additional restrictive measures, even though April is a month of religious holidays. The Interior Ministry will strengthen controls, because it seems to us that the citizens relaxed too much and began gathering in greater groups again,” Zaev said.
