Government and Party Leaders Mark 11 October

President Stevo Pendarovski, PM Zoran Zaev, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski and PS Talat Xhaferi, among other politicians and functionaries, congratulated 11 October, Day of the Macedonian Uprising, to the Macedonian people. President Pendarovski talked about the bravery the Macedonian people had in the previous century, and said they continue to fight for equality for all people and against fascism. “Our mission is to ensure a prosperous state in which young people can remain. Macedonia gained a breakthrough internationally, thanks to the Prespa Agreement and the Good-Neighbourly Agreement with Bulgaria. Our country is a valued and respected partner, an example for the region. NATO membership has redefined our role in an active security arena, with that membership we are no longer alone,” stated PM Zaev from Kumanovo. Mickoski used this opportunity to compare past injustices with current ones, calling for the Macedonian people to keep fighting. Xhaferi called for the lessons of the past to be remembered and never repeated, after which he wished the citizens a happy holiday.
