Government presents new Ethical Code for State Officials

The Minister in charge of Communications, Transparency and Accountability Robert Popovski presented on Wednesday at a press conference in the government the newly adopted Ethical Code for State Officials. “The adoption of this Code is part of the implementation of the 5^th round of recommendations issued to Macedonian institutions by GRECO. This will be a form of self-regulation of the government, and it will include three levels of reactions: the first level will be demonstration of disagreement or criticism to the state official in question, the second one will demand political responsibility and if necessary, resignation from the respective position, and the third and final level will demand responsibility in accordance with the laws applied in North Macedonia,” Popovski explained.
